Resident Relations Consultant

About the Community: Hartford 21 is a 262-unit, 36-story high-rise located in the heart of downtown Hartford, CT. Residents at H21 enjoy onsite access to community amenities, such as a 24-hour concierge service, 24-hour fitness center, an Internet lounge, and a dog park.

About the Role: The Resident Relations Consultant serves as the point of contact for residents, guests, vendors, and prospective residents, delivering exceptional customer service and fostering a positive living experience within the community. This role is responsible for building strong resident relationships, coordinating resident services and requests, supporting community events and engagement initiatives, and collaborating with onsite teams to ensure resident satisfaction.

This is a full-time position that requires flexibility in scheduling to meet business needs, including varying shift times throughout the week. Candidates must also be available to work weekends.

  • Greet and assist residents, guests, and vendors in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
  • Answer, screen, and direct incoming calls and respond to resident inquiries promptly.
  • Receive and coordinate resident service requests, ensuring timely communication and follow-up with the maintenance team.
  • Assist with scheduling vendor services and facilitating access to resident homes when needed.
  • Manage resident parking assignments and issue vehicle placards.
  • Support resident retention efforts by assisting with renewal communications and resident correspondence.
  • Plan, coordinate, and support resident events and community engagement activities.
  • Help maintain the appearance and functionality of community amenity spaces and common areas.
  • Conduct routine inspections of community spaces and report any concerns.
  • Assist residents with transfers within the community, including coordinating unit inspections and property tours.
  • Maintain accurate records and perform administrative duties to support daily property operations.

Qualifications & Requirements: The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

  • At least one year of previous experience in property management, hospitality, customer service or a related field is required.
  • The ability to multitask and manage time effectively while adhering to certain deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, residents, and vendors.
  • Availability to work weekends is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time, climb, bend, and squat.
  • Must be able to occasionally push, pull, lift, and carry weights up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work inside and outside in all weather conditions.
