About the Community: Preserve West is a 318-unit, garden-style apartment community located in Madison, WI. At Preserve West, our residents get to enjoy the many community amenities, including personal climate control units, a 24-hour fitness center, outdoor common areas with grills, and a resident clubhouse

About the Role: Northland is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to support the Community Manager with day-to-day operations at the community. The Assistant Manager monitors and enforces compliance with all company policies and procedures, assists with the supervision of leasing and maintenance staff in the absence of the manager, and oversees rent collection and delinquency. In collaboration with the Community Manager, the Assistant Manager will also be responsible for profitability, cost control, and maintaining the operating budget.

Qualifications & Requirements: The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

  • At least two years of experience in a sales or customer-facing role is required. Hospitality or property management experience is strongly preferred.
  • The ability to multitask and manage time effectively while adhering to certain deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, residents, and vendors.
  • Previous experience leading a team or others is preferred.
